Urban Decay, one of our favorite eco-friendly cosmetic lines, has recently launched a new and improved design of their Eyeshadow Primer Potion. Not only is this primer Urban Decay’s number top-selling product of all time, it is also a 2008 winner of “Best of Sephora” and has a serious cult-like following. So we at Beauty Brief just had to try it out. The Eyeshadow Primer Potion works as a base for your eye shadows and helps it last longer and not crease. Staying true to Urban Decay’s style fun and funky packaging, the Primer Potion comes in a cute purple genie bottle with a newly redesigned angled-brush that allows the translucent cream to blend seamlessly on your lids.
Cosmetic primers in general have tended to not live up to their promises of increasing the longevity of makeups, however, Urban’s Primer potion stands out in a crowd of disappointments. The primer glides on lids very smoothly and you need to wait about a half a minute to let it dry before applying eyeshadow. Then simply apply your favorite shadow as you normally would. Not only do we notice the eyeshadow stays put longer (we’re talking from morning to night), and does not crease but the color itself also appears truer to the shadow color as it is before application.
You can buy Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion here for $17.
