Urban Decay Briefs – FALL 2010 RELEASES
Urban Decay recently announced their new line of products for Fall 2010. Here are our briefs of the 5 new additions to the stellar UD line:
Good Karma Brushes
Good Karma is a complete line of 11 animal cruelty-free, eco-friendly and makeup artist quality brushes! Each brush comes in its own magnetic closing box that is made out of recycled egg cartons. The synthetic brush hair (made out of recycled PET bottles) is ideal for reducing bacteria. These brushes are great because they are named after what they are meant to do, crease brush for your eyelid crease, smudge brush for smudging, etc. The Powder Brush applies powder or bronzer amazingly well, better than any brush we’ve tried. The brushes are a little expensive, but they don’t leave stray hairs on your face and they are eco-friendly so you’re paying a little extra for the good karma.
Vegan Palette
The Vegan Palette is the epitome of the perfect eyeshades for fall: gold, light/medium brown, dark brown, gunmetal gray, light forest green and a turquoise blue. These hues are especially flattering for all those blue or hazel eyed gals out there. The palette itself is made out of recycled materials and printed with soy-based ink.
And of course, the eye shadows are all 100% vegan, so it’s not just a clever name! The palette closes magnetically and comes with the Sin primer potion and 24/7 (zero – black) eye liner pencil, so it’s convenient for traveling and has all the bases covered for a gorgeous eye.
Urban Lash
Fake lashes are all the rage in Hollywood and now everyone wants a good pair whether it’s for a special occasion or just any old day. Finally Urban Decay has developed its own lash line made of all handmade, cruelty-free synthetic fibers. These false lashes come in 18 variations to suit any eye shape and style and are divided into three categories: Super Natural, Color Play and Going Big.
They are really easy to apply and customizable to your unique eye shape (simply cut to desired length). We suggest letting the latex-free adhesive that comes with each pair set on the lashes for about 10 seconds before applying them to the eye. This way, the glue will become a little thicker and you won’t risk it slipping around out of place on your eye.
Lip Junkie Gloss
The Lip Junkie Glosses consists of 11 beautifully tinted mint-flavored glosses. The high-shine gloss formula contains Maxi-gloss which promises to boost collagen and plump lips an average of 40% when used daily. Now who doesn’t want a little extra plump in addition to a gorgeous, long-lasting and moisturizing color? We really like the variety of colors ranging from pale pink to dark red and everything in between.
Naked Palette
The Naked Palette is an amazing combination of neutral-toned eyeshadows that totally encompasses what is essential to fall makeup.
