Fragrances – What’s Hot for Fall – Winter 2006
With temperatures dropping, it’s time to exchange sandals for boots, camisoles for cardigans, and put away those summer fragrances. In colder weather, you can get away with “heavier” scents, which also tend to be sexier and more sophisticated.
Fall and winter fragrances are generally warmer and more intense, and this season is no exception, with certain notes — like amber and violet — popping up everywhere. Oriental fragrances are always a good bet — look for vanilla, musk, amber, and spices like cloves, white pepper, cinnamon and cardamom. If you prefer floral or woodsy scents, look for ones that contain rose, violet, jasmine, vetiver, citrus, bergamot or sandalwood.
