Flirty Girl Fitness
FlirtyGirl Fitness is a brand new “body makeover system” unlike anything we have seen in the fitness DVD category. FlirtyGirl Fitness combines diet, weight loss and exercise with exotic dancing. It was developed by two sisters who opened two FlirtyGirl Fitness Gyms in Toronto and Chicago where they teach aerobic classes with exotic and ‘flirty’ themes. The idea behind the creation of FG is that many women don’t like traditional weight lifting or cardio exercises; FG is designed exclusively for and by women, it’s meant to be fun, exciting, and provide a great workout without really feeling like you’re “working” out. The at-home DVDs are a great alternative to the FG classes for those who may a little timid about ‘booty dancing’ or hip-shaking in public.
The TV offer includes 6 FlirtyGirl Workouts with names like “Booty Beat” and “Just Teasing”. Also included are: a cute pink keepsake box to hold the DVDs, the FlirtyGirl Fit and Fabulous booklet, which includes a sample meal plan; and a bright pink feather boa! This package costs about $60 online. The duration of each of the workouts is from 35 minutes to an hour and each has a pretty different method of exercising. For example, the “Booty Beat” workout is a high-energy dance routine, and “Chair Fit” is 45 minutes of total-body strength training with dumbbells.
We like FlirtyGirl because although you may feel a little awkward at first with the boa and chair dancing moves, it does help build self-confidence while getting you in shape. The instructors are very helpful and encouraging as they walk you through all the moves and show different modifications for beginners or more those that are more advanced. FlirtyGirl is definitely not boring, and is perfect for people who hate the gym or don’t feel comfortable working out in front of other people.
There are also two other package options available:
1) The Teaser Preview Pack includes just two of the workouts for about $10
2) The FlirtyGirl Fitness Pole and Extension Kit that comes with an actual strip pole you can set up in your home for about $300.
