7 Shapely Secrets is a “motionless” exercise program developed by Greer Childers, a 60 year old housewife and mother who credits her drastic weight loss to the program. The Shapely Secrets complete Kit consists of: one 7-minute workout DVD, “7 Secrets to Being Thin and Shapely” guide, the Shapely Secrets Success Kit to help you track your progress, a motivational audio CD, and a few extra free gifts. By following the 7 minute a day exercise routine and Greer’s “7 Secrets”, Childers claims that you will be able to lose up to 10 pounds in as little as 14 days.
The program is based on the principles of diametric resistance, which forces your muscles to work against each other. This way you can work two opposite muscles at the same time in less time than with regular weight lifting, and without actually moving around. You shouldn’t be fooled by the word ‘motionless’ though, these exercises are actually pretty hard, and a little difficult to learn to do correctly. If executed properly, the 7 minute exercise can almost feel like a half hour workout.
We think this program is great because it is beneficial to try exercising in as many different ways as possible to keep your body in shape. Your body can get used to doing the same fitness routines all the time which forces you to plateau. Trying out various methods is a great idea because it can help push you past a plateau period, or just keep you from getting bored. The 7 minute a day workout alone isn’t going to make you lose 50 pounds, and diet of course is a huge part of the equation. The “7 Secrets” plan also teaches how to recognize good foods and avoid high calorie items without having to count calories all day.
